Thunderbird Park Glendale Arizona On one of the many beautiful mornings it is just so great to be able to have this awesome weather that Arizona has to offer. Hiking in Arizona is the best not only do you have several parks throughout the valley like this one that we hiked this morning but you even have the National Forests only an hour a way. Literally you can be skiing in the powder 2 and a half hours from where you live. So while Im in shorts and flip flops enjoying the 60 degree weather, people are skiing up North in Snowbowl or Sunrise. Well lets get back on the topic of hiking, the mountains or park we hiked today was near Arrowhead Lakes in Glendale, Az called Thunderbird Park. This park consists of 3 Mountains, a small, medium, and large mountain. You can either hike one or hike all three since they are pretty well connected to each other. These peaks will give you the most astonishing views of Glendale, Phoenix, Peoria, and even possibly Surprise as far as the eye can see. Thunderbird Park is located North of the Loop 101 on 59th Ave, which also turns into Pinnacle Peak if you follow the Loop around through the Park. I feel not only speaking as a Phoenix Real Estate Agent but as a consumer, that the best way to get to know your areas is to hit the parks, be recreational, with the views up high you really can get a great perspective on things as on where they are.. So if you happen to be in Glendale, Az or are just need a change of hiking scenery, I definitely recommend Thunderbird Park’s trails.
